My aunt has come to stay with us for a while and practice her English. She's doing pretty well, I guess.

Anyway, I got elected President of Art Club today. Sarah is my vice.

Went to Hollywood Bowl with some people to watch this concert of Brazilian music. I fell asleep in the middle of it, then woke up with fireworks.

But mostly I feel mega-depressed for unrelated reasons and everything makes me want to cry.

Well, aside for the losing of Legal-kun once again (OTL) today was a pretty good day. I got to draw a lot and I feel inspired.

anyway, this is the end of my first week of school. TA work is pretty awesome. I like reading all the student's different handwritings, although some really stupid answers come up for quizzes :/

Today, my art teacher said she's starting an Anime Art club. And this is incredible because she HATES EVERYTHING. She's like a hate-a-day calendar, it's ridiculous. But apparently anime is one of the few things she doesn't hate. o_O

Speaking of anime. Anime Club. We're in the process of getting it set up for the year, we just need a sponsor. Emily is the one doing all the work and I wanna be prez cuz I'm the only senior and I'll be gone soon OTL

Aaaaand lastly I got a postcard from shouri_kun! It's so cuuuute!!

I feel so meh today. But it's ok.
I have a block of watercolor paper. I was wondering what I should paint, now I decided on JB and Burbank. I think they are good subjects. I still have a lot of paper too. And I'm painting with tempera, but I could also use watercolors.

Tomorrow I finally get out of the house for a bit. Whenever summer vacation starts, I lose my sense of time. I thought today was Sunday for some reason.

Also it's probably just me, but the BGM for Hetalia Ep. 22 reminded me of the music from Tales of Symphonia. o_O

Well, first of all I need money, I have $27.26 saved up as of right now, and theeeeen we have to try and work out all these issues because I just want to have fun with everyone! Come on. I thought a snake would know how to eat a mouse.... then we ended up going to the army store again, because my brother wanted me to buy him something, so I bought a German canteen. Ok, this is why I am insane.

I love animation. I really do. It's really hard, it takes a long time, especially if you're operating alone, but it's just so fantastic when you finish it. I don't even mind all the work, I love the journey just as much as the destination. But I also happen to be a high school student who has no time for these kinds of things.

I know that full well. Then, why, does my dear brain keep piling up more and more projects on me? More importantly, why do I insist on doing all of them at the same time?? I can't just settle for one, can I? If I had an animation team, yeah fine, but I'm doing this all on my own!

Therefore I can only logically conclude I am insane.

But secretly, the whole point of this entry is that I want to show these off. Because I can.

One of them is actually finished but Youtube took it down. #s 2 and 3 are driving me nuts. #4, the one in the first picture, has been going rather smoothly. #5, 6, and 7 are still in planning. #8, the second picture, is mostly figured out and now I'm drawing frames. OH. And this is not counting 3 others I thought for my own characters.

Just got my letter back from CSSSA.

I got rejected.

Well, I fully expected that, and I'm kinda glad, actually, cuz CSSSA is full of elitist jerks, and it's totally not my style anyway, but you know, there's that kind of feeling you get when you're rejected even when you were kinda hoping you would be...

It's been what, five days since I last posted? Geez! This week has been packed.

Things that happened this week:

Today was the last day of Portfolio Prep. So, we had an art show this evening! It was so gooood. There was delicious chicken and brownies and a ton of people came to see our art and it was fantastic~ nya! Kirai was there! Emily was supposed to go, but didn't.

Then we went to Little Tokyo and had Boba and gawked at anime figurines. And then after that we went to a Peruvian restaurant and I ate something that I don't know the name of, but it was delicious, and had some drink called Inca Kola which I don't know what it is but it was also yummy. And then we talked to Emily on the phone and she told us about her song, Zombie Dyslexia. Awesomeness.

I FINALLY HAVE FREE TIME. And now I must sleep.

Yesterday was paaacked, really really busy.

Since today was the After Dark party at LACMA, we decided to all go together. I actually had no idea what that was about other than that it involved teenagers, art, and a DJ, but once we got there, the whole thing was mostly centered on THE ART OF TWO GERMANYS AHHHH <3 /geekery goes here. Anyway, we went through the museum exhibits and we sat watching the weird freaky videos for a bit, then went back downstairs. Oh, they had an In-N-Out truck there!

But first we went to the Graffiti Tent. It was supposed to represent the Berlin Wall. So they gave us paint and said "paint on any side you want!" Emily painted some cute things while Kirai and I did a Hetalia collab wat. And I am thankful that they were both there because it would have been pretty damn lonely if they weren't.

Well, after that we got in line for the In-N-Out truck and got some burgers and chips and ate for a while, listening to the DJ. (they played a lot of German music! I guess that's to be expected, heh) They had this styrofoam thing there too. You were supposed to cut out a hole for your head and then draw a body, but we turned it into a p-chat of sorts and all drew on it at the same time.

After that there was a puppet show thing. Emily was in the first round and she dragged me into the second round. We did some skit about Franz West. It was... infomercially. Then we actually went to the Franz West exhibit and sat inside the tent and touched things, because that's what the point of the art was, as the skit said.

Then we ran off to the La Brea Tar Pits, or rather, Emily and Kirai dragged me there. But my mom called me, so we had to run back. THEN EMILY AND KIRAI GET THESE SMIRKS ON THEIR FACES. (yes that deserves an all caps.) Well, they're trying to set me up on a date! What! They're all like "you're 17 already you need a boyfriend etc etc etc" and I'm like OH GOD NO. In case you were wondering, there is already someone I like! I don't want to date anyone else! And they harassed me all the way back home. Actually, they had me pinned an grabbed me by the arms and tried to make me agree to said date, it was like France harassing England in episode 12, right down the the rape-faces. OTL

BY THE WAY, KIRAI. I know who you are talking about. I will murder both of you if you set me up with him.

Also, Romano, as I've named my tomato plant, has gotten aphids. OTL
