Which was pretty epic
and full of destruction porn
and I giggled like an idiot with the Rio de Janeiro part because of the voice-over which reminded me of that one time I went to a laser tag with my brother, and whenever we got hit the vest said, "Oh! I've been hit! I have been temporarily deactivated!" IT WAS THAT SAME TONE
Another giggle fit when they saw the big airplane in Las Vegas.

I screamed at the part when Sasha died HE WAS AWESOME GODAMMIT AND HE HAD A COOL RUSSIAN ACCENT
AND WHY DID THE OTHER GIRL HAVE TO DIE THAT WAS POINTLESS

and I also went to Barnes & Noble.
I checked out the Graphic Novels section and found this one called "Berlin" which looked really awesome and I started reading it and it was very interesting.
But then I had to leave it there because I'm a derp and after spending $30 on videogames I couldn't bring myself to buy a book SOB I'm so lame
But what impressed me at first was that I started drawing this one comic yesterday, and the opening scene is really similar to that of Berlin.
Although they're kind of different. Kind of really different. But they both have trains. And German people. Mine has no plot though.
It's kind of presumptuous and has Nazis in it. My comic, I mean. Berlin also has Nazis but it's less lame than my comic.

I think I'm kind of rambling here... My room is a mess and I have no bedsheets...

I feel so apathetic.

Applying for college and stuff.
I don't like anything anymore.
Animation? Yes. I know what I want.
But even though I want so strongly, I can't act on anything.
The application sits untouched.
And when I look at the portfolio requirements I want to cry.

Why is it so difficult for me to do this?
It's not like I'm lacking in anything...
But I am weighed down with something that isn't even sadness.

Uncle Fla... sometimes I wish you could inspire me more.
But then I wonder if that's what I really need.

OK SO
This weekend I went to the CTN animation expo!! It was super fun and I had a great time.
On Friday I just kinda wandered around looking at things because I was too shy to talk to anyone. I bought some Power Puff Girls comics and entered a drawing contest but I ran out of time so I couldn't win ffff
But it was soo cool looking at all the awesome art *-*

On Saturday I wandered around again, talked to some of the artists, who all told me that Cal Arts is the way to go, but I knew that already.
I shouldn't be ashamed that I draw anime style, should I? :[

I went on Sunday, too, but by then there wasn't much left to do.

I attended a whole bunch of panels, including one with DON BLUTH AHHH he's a pretty awesome guy in person, too XD he has a good sense of humor. And also stuff about the movie 9, and the internet, and Mike Mignola. All quite awesome. I got to draw on a Cintiq tablet, which was super fun, and I watched this demonstration on animation software.

And Stephen Silver and Craig McCracken were there *-*

And I also saw Toon. Toon was one of the very first artists I started following on DA. I knew her from the Butch Hartman forums since 2005. I told her I'd be wearing a bright checkered jacket, and she said she'd be wearing bomber jacket. So we ended up in the 9 panel together, when I noticed she was sitting behind me, and was all o////o

as we left the panel we ended up next to each other. I looked at her jacket, she looked at my jacket, we looked at each other, said "hi" at the same time, and shuffled off in separate directions.

That was... interesting....

1. Who is your oldest surviving character, and what date were they created?
I have about 5 billion characters, so I can’t quite remember which is my oldest, but as for surviving ones, that would probably be Dema from my Badge of Karmani series, or Sakayen from my Breath and Blood series. Those were both from around 2005. Prior to that I had several others but I lost interest in them.
2. Since you created them, how have they changed?
Sakayen was at first a rather chipper mage, small but average build… she turned into an incredibly stubborn little brat, overweight and pear-shaped. Her defining characteristic at first was her incredibly powerful disabling spell, so in order to counter that out, I made it so that it often backfired. This ended up turning into her being deficient at magic. As I began to piece the storyline of Breath & Blood together, her personality shaped up into something more three-dimensional. Right now her personality resembles my brother’s, except slightly more mellow and insecure. Her body shape also changed. She was still overweight, but lost the pear-shape. Then she became average weight. Now she’s back to being overweight. I think it makes her design more interesting. But it’s also hard to draw;;

As for Dema, she was originally a Star Wars OC, a Jedi who was somehow involved with my other OC, Myn Hyey. I lost interest in Star Wars but I still liked Dema, so I transplanted her into a new storyline. Her personality hasn’t really changed much at all, except that she acquired an intense love for bagels. In fact, my very first piece of fanart I ever received for any of my characters was a little doodle of her running and thinking “Bagels…”

3. Which of your characters has changed the most since you created them? Describe how they have changed.
I’d have to say probably either Sakayen or Dema. The longer I have a character, the more they change. Aside from that, another character who changed a lot was Hikari (the MC from last year’s NaNo):

At first a Japanese schoolgirl named Yuki. Acquired prophetic dreams. Ended up transplanted to America. Became American. Liked a boy named Kean who was a member of a gang called Black Tiger. Kean disappeared. Became a bitter girl. Got the storyline of being the “light” (as in the novel). Name changed to Hikari. Began to hate her name. Acquired the nickname Kari. Hair style, clothes and attitude changed several times.

4. And which character has changed the least?
Any of my more recent characters. Like I said, the longer I have them, the more they changed. I suppose one who hasn’t changed much is Talia, Dema’s protégé. I’ve had her since 2005 or 2006, whenever I took Dema out of the Star Wars universe, and she is still essentially the same.

5. Which of your characters (if any) have stories or relationships with somebody else's characters, and what kind of relationship is it?
Mës is in a sort of relationship with Becca’s character, Berry, and his older brother Kïns is in a sort of relationship with Becca’s characters Novie and Decie. Except she killed one of them off, I forgot who :/… Mës likes Berry, but can’t admit to it, and he’s only 12 so he’s acting like a little kid most of the time. Berry adores Mës.

I love November.

Anyway, let's talk about Halloween! I though I was gonna die, but I didn't! It was super fun, I went with Kirai and Nathan and Kirai's mom to Knott's Berry Farm, for the scare night events. We got there early and kinda hung out in from and went in the gift shops and stuff until it opened. Then we went in line, got examined by metal detection devices which proved that Nathan has abs of steel.

So first thing we did was go on the Ghost Rider, which is this huge wooden rollercoaster. It was AWESOME! Though I thought it was kinda funny because the whole time I was on it I was thinking about how hard it is to design good rollercoasters.

Then we went to the mazes. The first one we went to was Lockdown. Kirai's mom latched on to my arm and screamed the whole time. She screamed so much I wasn't even scared! And I'm the kind of person who cries if you wave a pencil in my direction. Then we went to the other maze, Club Blood. That was also freaky. Afterwards Nathan and Kirai went on another roller coaster so me and Kirai's mom just hung out for a bit. After that.... my memory gets fuzzy, but it involves lots of mazes and rides and crazy things. Also I won a Kyle plushie at one of those basketball game thingys.

There was also this show they put on, a Hanging. It was awesome. As I was walking past the stage I heard the Star Trek theme play so I turned around and sure enough, they had brought out Captain Kirk and the crew. What followed was 30 minutes of cracktacular crossover ripping on pretty much every current event. Whoo!

I got dropped off at home at maybe 3 or 4 AM. Then I fell asleep almost immediately. I woke up and procrastinated on finishing what I had written up at the park (I started writing at midnight exactly and didn't stop until 1AM) until just a few minutes ago, when I wrapped up the last of the 1700 word quota for the day.

Went to visit AI today again. Was pretty cool. Some idiot broke the drill press yesterday and sent a block of wood flying straight into my back. PAINFUL. After school, I had to bike all the way to the bookstore, which is on the opposite end of town, and then back. The ride was pretty enjoyable, but now my knees hurt.
